It started in London in 1969.
Two optometrists, Graham Cutler and Tony Gross, had an idea that eyewear could be more than something you simply needed to see.
They wanted to create glasses that were beautifully designed, carefully made and worth wearing.
And more than 50 years later, Cutler & Gross is still doing exactly that.
From London to the Jetty
There's something pretty cool about having a brand with that kind of history sitting on our shelves here in Coffs Harbour.
Cutler & Gross is known for its distinctive shapes, bold use of colour and beautifully crafted acetate frames. The designs have personality - they're not trying to blend into the background.
And while the brand has become internationally recognised, it's still very much rooted in its independent beginnings.
That's exactly the kind of eyewear we love bringing to the Lens Lounge collection.
Why we love it
We're drawn to frames that have a story behind them.
Cutler & Gross has over five decades of one.
They're beautifully made, instantly recognisable and a little bit different - the kind of glasses that can completely change how you feel when you put them on.
And you don't have to travel to London to try them.
Lens Lounge is currently the only Cutler & Gross stockist in Coffs Harbour.
So, if you've been looking for Cutler & Gross glasses in Coffs Harbour, you can find them right here on the Jetty.
A little bit of London craftsmanship, right here at Lens Lounge.
